SUMMARY:Master Guide Training
DESCRIPTION:This event is for our Pathfinders and Pathfinder leaders. \nThe Master Guide program provides an opportunity for young people to expand themselves spiritually\, physically and mentally. \nSpecifically\, the Master Guide training event runs as an intensive course to complete the majority of the course requirements within a small time frame. \nLed by District Directors\, Pathfinders complete honours and learn strategies for leadership that they can take back to their local clubs. \nWe’ve been fortunate to see the largest ever cohorts of Master Guides graduate through this special program. It’s been great for the development of leaders in local clubs\, and across Victoria as a collective. \nIf you’re interested in becoming involved in this\, or other Pathfinder events\, please reach out to VicYouth to get in touch with your local club and find out how you can get involved!

DESCRIPTION:What is the PLA? \nPLA (Pathfinder Leadership Award) is a course designed to further upskill leaders who are already actively involved with Pathfinders. The PLA Outdoor Supervision Units from Avondale include topics such as: \n– Weather and environment conditions\n– Identifying hazards for outdoor activities\n– Workplace health and safety \nIn addition to these units\, there are also Pathfinder specific units to be completed at a later date that will assist in club leadership such as: \n– Pathfinder Administration\n– Pathfinder Programming\n– Pathfinder Curriculum\n– And more!
