What is the PLA?
PLA (Pathfinder Leadership Award) is a course designed to further upskill leaders who are already actively involved with Pathfinders. The PLA Outdoor Supervision Units from Avondale include topics such as:
– Weather and environment conditions
– Identifying hazards for outdoor activities
– Workplace health and safety
In addition to these units, there are also Pathfinder specific units to be completed at a later date that will assist in club leadership such as:
– Pathfinder Administration
– Pathfinder Programming
– Pathfinder Curriculum
– And more!
