High School Rally

High School Rally

Kaleidoscope

Our recent High School Rally, Kaleidoscope, was held at Haskell Hall on Sabbath, 20 June. The event brought together young people, school communities, churches, and ministry teams from across the conference for an afternoon of worship, fellowship, learning, and connection.

As a collaborative event, the rally continues to provide a unique opportunity for young people from different schools, communities, and churches to gather, build friendships, and encourage one another in their faith.

The theme, based on 1 Peter 4:10, was reflected not only in the message but throughout the afternoon itself. Just as the pieces of a kaleidoscope come together to create something beautiful, the rally showcased the many gifts, talents, and ministries within our conference. It was a joy to see so many people serving in different ways to create a welcoming and uplifting experience for everyone.

Worship was led by the Nunawading Christian College band, made up of young people from Nunawading and several other schools across the conference, while Gilson College shared a special musical item. Our guest speaker, Lauren Fraser from Northpoint Adventist College, unpacked the theme through the lives of Joseph, Miriam, David, Esther, Mary, and the boy who offered his lunch, reminding us that God has uniquely gifted each of us to faithfully serve others.

Following the program, everyone enjoyed dinner provided by the Mernda Pathfinders, who used the opportunity to raise funds for the upcoming Camporee. The evening concluded with a lively trivia night, filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of opportunities to continue building friendships across our conference, plus lots of VicYouth merch giveaways.

A sincere thank you to Lauren Fraser, young people, youth leaders, our pastoral team, parents, and everyone who helped make the day possible. Your willingness to share your gifts and serve together made this year’s High School Rally a wonderful reflection of a multifaceted Kingdom Kaleidoscope.
