StormCo was a truly memorable and faith-filled experience for our Pathfinders, providing countless opportunities to serve others, build friendships, and grow in their walk with God. Throughout the week, they blessed local communities by helping at a kindergarten, visiting an aged care facility, and assisting Helen (a memorable experience for our pathfinders), whose property had been impacted by bushfires. These moments of service taught compassion, resilience, and the lasting impact of kindness.
The week also encouraged personal growth as our Pathfinders prepared their own lunches each day, developing independence, responsibility, and teamwork. They enjoyed exploring the region, learning about the history of Ned Kelly, and trying gold panning for the very first time.
Morning and evening devotions were a cherished part of each day, creating space to worship, reflect on God’s leading, and connect their experiences of service with their faith. It was also a privilege to be part of the first ATSIM Regional gathering in Victoria, held in Shepparton, celebrating culture, community, and our shared mission.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Pastor Tharren and the Benalla and Wangaratta Seventh-day Adventist Churches, Pastor Jayden and the Shepparton Seventh-day Adventist Church for their generous hospitality and care. We are also deeply grateful to Bec from ADRA, Jan from ADRA Wangaratta, VicYouth for their ongoing support, Sanitarium for generously providing breakfast cereals and milk, and the ATSIM Victoria Advisory for helping make this incredible week possible.
Above all, we give thanks to God for His guidance, protection, and abundant blessings throughout StormCo. May the seeds of kindness, service, and faith planted during this week continue to grow in the hearts of our Pathfinders and the communities they served.
